The Volkswagen Group 0BH and 0BT are designations of the DQ500, a heavy-duty 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (DSG) developed for transverse-engine vehicles with higher torque requirements. It uses two oil-cooled multi-plate clutches and an electro-hydraulic mechatronic system to control clutch operation and gear selection. The DQ500 was introduced in the Volkswagen Transporter T5, with the 0BH version subsequently used in passenger-car and performance applications.
