The ZF 6HP19A / 6HP19AV, commonly identified by Audi/VW as 09L / AL420-6Q, is a 6-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission developed for longitudinal-engine quattro/all-wheel-drive applications. Derived from the ZF 6HP19 family, it uses a hydrodynamic torque converter with controlled lock-up clutch, planetary gearsets and integrated mechatronic control to provide six forward ratios.
